Awana

What is Awana?
Awana helps churches and parents partner to develop children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. In 2010 Awana celebrates 60 years of God’s faithfulness in impacting young lives around the world. Awana rejoices over partnerships with churches and parents that produce a lasting Christian faith.
A recent national survey found Awana to be as important to our alumni’s spiritual development as all other church activities combined. Among alumni who participated in Awana programs for at least six years, 92.7 percent still attend church “about weekly” or more frequently as adults.
Our Outreach
Each week, more than one million children and youth and 250,000 volunteers worldwide participate in Awana. Over 19,000 churches and 100 denominations conduct Awana programs. We have nearly doubled our influence globally in the last 10 years. There are more than 12,000 local-church Awana programs in the U.S. and nearly 7,000 in 101 countries throughout the world.
Our Vision
We help churches and parents raise children
and youth to know, love and serve Christ using:
- Fully integrated programs for ages 2 to 18
- Evangelism tools to reach children, youth and families
- Teaching that builds an enduring biblical faith
- Resources that unite churches and parents to disciple the next generation
- Initial and ongoing volunteer training
- Healthy mentor and peer relationships
- A fun, faith-building approach that influences generations of kids to actively follow Christ.
Awana Schedule
Please join us each Sunday Evening from 5:30-7:00 pm in the Reece Harris Family Life Center @ Sinking Creek Baptist Church for our Awana Program. The Awana Program is under the direction of Justin and Brittany Ciralsky.
