We are members of the Southern Baptist Association. Active in local and foreign missions as well as community outreach.
- We believe the Holy Bible is the inerrant Word of God.
- We believe in the Holy Trinity: God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit.
- We believe that all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God and that we need a Saviour.
- We believe there is only one way to heaven, the way to eternal life is through Jesus Christ the Son.
- We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross as an atonement for our sin. That He was raised from the dead on the third day and that He is alive today.
- We believe mankind is save by grace, through faith.
- We believe in the resurrection of the body both in the case of the just and the unjust.
- We believe in the eternal life of the saved and the eternal punishment of the lost, as described in Scripture.
We at Sinking Creek Baptist Church, as a local body of believers in one accord, believe that all scripture is supernaturally inspired of God. Our steadfast faith in the absoulute truth of the written word of God unites us as one. Even in our various personalities we bear the same testimony. That inspiration extends to all scripture and because the scriptures are inspired, they are authoritive without error and constitute the infallible revelation of God to all mankind.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." 1 Timothy 3:16-17
