Union With Christ: Suffering and Glory (Part 3)
What if the very things we struggle to pray about are already being prayed for on our behalf? Romans 8 opens up a breathtaking truth: the Holy Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. This means that even in our deepest moments of confusion, grief, or uncertainty, we are not spiritually adrift. Our weakness in prayer, particularly our ignorance of God's will, is met with divine assistance from within. We are not left to figure it all out on our own. The Spirit who dwells in us knows the mind of God perfectly and prays with precision for things we cannot even articulate. This session walks us through what God's will actually looks like as revealed in Scripture, from our sanctification to our adoption as sons and daughters, from living in peace with one another to maintaining a heart of gratitude and obedience. Far from being a mystery locked away from us, God's will is richly laid out across the pages of the Bible, and we are invited to know it, pray according to it, and live it out. The challenge placed before us is a simple but penetrating one: how well do we actually know what God has already told us?
