Sinking Creek Baptist Church is the oldest Church of any faith in the state of Tennessee. It was founded in 1772 and is listed in the Tennessee Historical Registry.

Pastor Reece Harris was called to Sinking Creek in 1961 and has served faithfully for 51 years. As of June 24, 2012 Pastor Harris has resigned. We are currently in transition and God has blessed us with Interim Pastor Keith Weatherly and his lovely wife Kathy. We are excited to see the future the Lord has in store for us as we go forward to declare the Good News of Jesus Christ.
